One of our next library projects for 2017/2018 will be in Mbu, Nigeria. Mbu is located approximately 600 km east of Lagos, in Isi-Uzo L.G.A. of Enugu State. Chijioke Alaku explained to us how desperate the library situation at his former secondary school in Nigeria is. The building is falling apart and the few textbooks available are outdated!
We live in an age where economic, social and educational opportunities depend on your level of education. However, not everyone has access to books. Unfortunately, that is the situation at Secondary School Mbu in Nigeria. Students from Mbu told us that the building of the school library is falling apart and the few textbooks available are outdated. With no funding available, this lack of access to books means lack of opportunities.
Are you looking for an effective way to make a difference? Help us creating a world in which all children have equal access to quality education. This will enable them to reach their full potential and contribute to their communities and the world. With your support Bookfeeding Project can provide the students from Mbu Secondary School with books they need to succeed.
At this stage we are looking for financial support to pay for the transport of the books and the refurbishment of the room in which the library will be. Everyone involved in this project works on a voluntary basis which means that 100 % of the fundraised money will go to this library project.
