Nigeria Aku Bookfeeding

 
 

Aku is a larger town in Enugu State which is located approximately 600 km east of Lagos close to Mbu. It is located in the Igbo Etiti Local Government Area. The library is part of a secondary school.

Bookfeeding started to cooperate with Secondary School in Aku in 2018. When the first Bookfeeding library was set up in Mbu in 2018, they received 30 boxes of books from our partner Books Abroad that they shared with the Secondary School in Aku.

In September 2022, the Secondary School Aku received a Mini-grant to build more bookshelves to improve the infrastructure of the library. Now the students of Secondary School Aku can browse through the books and easily find those books that they want to read.
