Tatyana's Month-long Stay In Madagascar

My volunteering in Bookfeeding project 29.11.2018 – 13.01.2019 , Ambohitrakely, Mahitsy, Madagasksr A small village with a real life in 30 km from Antananarivo, Madagascar. I was here a 1.5 months volunteer in library and the locals gave me a real experience of living on an island that you will never get in large tourist destinations. The work in the library for me was like a rest. At first, the children themselves give ideas of what they want to do now, and on the second they are interested to learn from you and teach you. A few children were asked to teach English with me, and I did it as much as I could. In addition to working in the library, I tried to hold theater classes at a local school. It was not very easy, because I had to work through an interpreter and we had not much training. The school schedule for children is loaded, and the day is short. What I could and managed to do - I shared. Also, I was lucky to celebrate Christmas here. So much warmth and attention from all the local people I felt on this day. I was invited to dinner, treated sweet, worried about me and I am very grateful to everyone who lives here and organizes it. I tried local cuisine, local entertainment, helped the locals in the garden, and the main thing was security and love. Thanks! And especially I want to thank the main motor of this project - Pasy Norovola. This is an angel who protects, helps, accompanies. She is the main thread of contact with children and adults and she is incredible! Thanks! There is no electricity and gas here, there are problems with water, but ... People sing, talk, help each other, arrange good concerts in the church and smile. With the simple material conditions that we Europeans had 100 years ago, they left a sentiment in human relations. I love this place !!! During my stay I made a few videos that can show more about this project. They are not professional, but I think it will be understandable.
