Uganda Kasese Bookfeeding

 
 

Fair Earth Foundation for Human Wellness (FEFO) is a community based organization dedicated to children, youth, women and community development through skill based training, capacity building and education for poverty alleviation and empowerment and general community well-being. It was created in 2005. They applied for our Bookfeeding library in 2019 and in 2020 all stars are aligned to kick off the project.

Headquartered in Kasese town, Western Uganda, with a growing worldwide support and membership, Fair Earth Foundation for Human Wellness is dedicated to restoring hope in needy communities through a diversity of programs and initiatives. These programs aim to empower disadvantaged groups such as children, girls and women/widows, and at risk-groups such as prostitutes, the elderly, disabled persons for their development using online and offline platforms.

Our current activities and projects are aimed at self-help and development of the children left behind and promotion of both formal and non-formal education to find employment. We hope to make some strides towards the achievement of some of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), like having an effect on the HIV/AIDS scourge.  The promotion of agriculture and micro enterprise, human rights, ICT education, democracy, protection of the environment and nature conservation are also part of our broad portfolio.

Ongoing projects currently include: an elementary school for disadvantaged children in Kasese’s central division, a tailoring skills training workshop, an oyster mushrooms growing project and a nursery bed project. We also engage in the production of bricks for sale so our youths may earn an income.
